Letter concerns Kean's proposed production of The winter's tale; the writer's father, Charles Hamilton Kean, is much puzzled by Kean's choice of a play: "You know how strict he is in these matters of period and cannot wonder at his being baffled by such antiquarian fibs as Shakespeare tells us in Winter's tale."
